Exam Prep

How to prepare well.

01
Complete every lesson first

Certifications are not shortcuts. Each exam draws directly from the corresponding curriculum. Do not attempt an exam until you have read every lesson at that level.

02
Use the practice quizzes

Each lesson has a practice quiz. The Foundation exam is drawn from the same question bank. Ten correct quizzes before the exam is a strong signal you are ready.

03
Log your practice spins

For Intermediate and above, spin logs are required. Track your sessions at the practice wheel from day one — it is much easier than reconstructing them later.

04
Engage the community

Expert and above require community activity. Start contributing to discussion threads early, before those requirements appear, so it feels natural rather than forced.

Badges

Each badge, earned by real members.

Badges display on your profile and are verified by our system. You cannot buy or skip to a badge — every one represents documented activity.

Success Stories

From members who have earned their badges.

I started thinking Foundation would take me a week. It took me three weeks — and I was better for it. The exam is genuinely rigorous. That rigour is the point.

The community requirement for Expert was the best thing that happened to my study. Teaching others clarifies your own understanding faster than anything.
T. Nakamura · Expert · Osaka
Advanced opened doors I did not expect — I was invited to co-host a chapter event in London within a month of earning the badge.
A. Okonkwo · Advanced · Lagos

FAQ

Certification questions answered.

How long does Foundation take?

Most members complete Foundation in two to four weeks — one to two hours per week of study, plus practice quiz sessions.

What happens if I fail an exam?

You can retake any exam after a 7-day cooldown. There is no limit on attempts, but each retake requires fresh preparation.

Are certifications recognised outside the community?

Our partner venues recognise all certification levels. Foundation and above get priority event access. Master and Grandmaster are listed publicly on our site.

Can I skip tiers?

No. Each tier requires the previous certification. There are no skips, no exceptions.

Do certifications expire?

No. Once earned, a certification is permanent. The curriculum may evolve, but your badge will not be revoked.

Is there a cost to certify?

No. All exams and certifications are included in free membership. There is no fee to sit an exam.
